… been signed off for another week. I feel weaker than ever. The doctor said they’ve had so many come in with this. But obviously affects me harder because of my asthma.
I’m worried about my classes.

I’m trying to keep myself amused by drawing – but even that takes effort.
I hurt all over.

Especially the book section which has thousands of books that are no longer in copyright, that have been beautifully digitized and you can look at to your hearts’ content. At the moment I am loving the fashion, stamps and childrens’ (of course) books – I’m trying to download and copy to jpeg the pdf files for my free resources section. I can’t believe I PAID someone nearly £10 for a disc of images I could have got (and more) here for FREE! Ah well.

I was also introduced to Alphainventions.com yesterday. I noticed that they’d become a ‘top referrer’ of mine and I was wondering who they were. It’s a really interesting site that generates blogs in real time. You have to be really fast though or you might miss a blog. I’ve found some really interesting ones – however – it’s genetrated traffic to my blog but it doesn’t look as though anyone is stopping to have much of a look!

are a constant source of amusement to me. I think it’s sad when they’re lacking in graffiti and are completely sanitised. Don’t get me wrong, I like them to be clean (e.g. sans dirtyness) but I do like a bit of ‘on toilet reading’ to do while I’m in there – especially as I have a real problem with weeing in public places.
Occasionally, usually when I’m drunk, I get my mobile out and take photos of the walls in pub toilets – especially if something catches my eye.
I’ve also been guilty of adding to the scribbles (in places where scribbles are already apparent – but I guess you got that as I said I ‘added’ to the scribbles) and photographing my results … guess which ones are mine!
… for porn … well … my type of porn.
It has to be said that I love the internet. I can find amazingly rare books, and slather over their beauty on line – when people in poncy book shops won’t even allow me to touch them. I can even download them and add their rare pages to my art work.
Don’t let anyone tell you that the internet doesn’t rock.
I’ve just spent the past god-knows how long designing my Cafe Press store and what happens? I stupidly delete the whole thing. DUH.
Ah well, I’ll start again later – I just can’t be bothered now.

It’s really nice when people feature me in their treasuries. I’m unsure how many people actually look at treasuries – still it is quite sweet! Mine is the image on the top right of the rose.

Urgh … I am covered in sweat and my throat is SO sore. i’ve had to phone in sick, if I went in I would give this to everyone. It’s not just that though, I feel absolutely awful. Really terrible. I’ve slept for almost 2 days solidly and I’m still feeling awful!
I was going to try and go in to work – I promised the kids. But I can’t. Sorry, I’m winding myself up here!

The free public domain resource pages are going well – I think I’ve found some really useful sites and people seem to be using them. I’m hoping that later today I can actually make some of my own collages – I’m craving to get creative, however this weekend the last thing I’ve wanted to do is create!
When I was younger had a fascination with the world of Illusion and Magic. I was often glued to the television whenever David Copperfield performed his annual extravaganzas – and would have enjoyed Paul Daniels more if he wasn’t such a squashed head creep! However, as I grew older and more sceptical I lost my love of this world.
A few years ago, we went to Cyprus on holiday and I had many books to read. Unfortunately on the penultimate day I ran out of reading material so we popped to a shop near our hotel. There I picked up a book I’d never seen or heard of before – Carter Beats The Devil. In fact I’d never heard of the illusionist, Carter before. If you haven’t read the book – DO. It’s a fantastic romp, some factual, most fiction.

Anyway – my interest was further piqued when The Prestige came out. I loved this film – even after I knew the twist I loved it even more! There was something about that form of entertainment, in a time when people were desperate to understand and know about spiritualism and the supernatural, that just interests me so much. Not just that, the performers themselves were so interesting.
I’ve managed to get some jpegs of posters and photos of magicians and their shows – I’d love to have some originals though. I know a shop in Cecil Court, where I’ve bought some vintage photographs and postcards, that sells original posters. However at the moment they are VERY much out of my price range – one day 🙂
Yesterday they showed Derren Brown’s Evening of Wonders on Channel 4. Every time I watch that guy I’m searching for clues – however I can never spot them. I can never tell what he’s doing. We went to see him a couple of years ago and afterwards we didn’t shut up for hours trying to work it all out. I personally think the guy is an evil genius 🙂
I really want to see him live again – M always says that he’d HATE to be invited onto stage but I think it would be great to be invited up there and and to see whether he could read me or not.

My new logo based on some sketches I did. I’m really impressed with how close this came out to my original drawing – I didn’t scan it in and just experimented on Illustrator 🙂 – Yesterday was the first time I even tried my hand at Illustrator!

I have some sort of infection – not sure if it’s in my chest – feels more bronchial than chest. Not happy, not happy at all. More time off work, more pressure, more stress.

As a seller on Etsy you realise you have to be up on the annual events that involve mass spending. It’s a tad sickening in some ways but in others, as long as it’s encouraging handmade purchasing then I’m all for it! 😉
